One Day Workshop on Project Based Learning

A One Day Workshop on Project Based Learning was organised by KVS RO Ernakulam on 29 July 2016 at Kendriya Vidyalaya Ernakulam. 3 Principals, 7 Vice Principals and 38 teachers from the Kendriya Vidyalayas of Ernakulam Region attended the workshop.

Dr. Uma Sivaraman, Deputy Commissioner interacted with the participants and the importance of PBL to develop 21st century skills among the students. She urged congratulated the teachers who have already initiated PBL in their vidyalayas and urged others to be the torch bearers of change in their respective vidyalayas.

Mrs. Meenakshi, Assistant Commissioner introduced the concept of Project Based Learning and explained the methodology to be adopted by the Kendriya Vidyalayas in implementing PBL in their schools.

Coordinators were assigned different Kendriya Vidyalayas to implement PBL. Three technical experts were also been assigned to provide technical/IT assistance to the schools.
